Friday, March 10, 2006What is coleslaw wrestling day?Think 3,000 really drunk rednecks in the middle of a campground. The cabbage patch was the place to be on coleslaw wrestling day. http://www.sopotnickscabbagepatch.com/ Although most of the attendees only had 3 or 4 of their original teeth this did not stop their good humor or lust for a good time. They coax 20 "female" contenders 2 at a time in to the middle of a raised pit of coleslaw to wrestle. Last one standing wins a prize. I didn't catch what that prize was. The announcer was so drunk I believe he was talking with the mic inside his mouth. I cannot understand why every participant did not blow chunks from the stench. In the hot afternoon sun of Florida coleslaw does not keep. On a high note I spotted Mardi-Gras style bead for boob flash barter. A must for every drunken rally and always welcome. If only I could find a way to encourage this activity on a regular basis.
What can a person say? The bikes are beautiful. I sited many that were modified with such detail and care that I think they became readable works of art. It’s the people that a found most fascinating. Bike week is the place porn stars go to die. Forty and fifty something’s wearing chaps and leather hot pants. The years are not kind to most bikers. I think Daytona must have a shortage of mirrors. Or perhaps their self-esteem is so remarkably good that… well I have pictures and some of them make me want to scratch my eyes out.
