Zdnet has confirmed a report that because of increasing pressure from wary companies TiVo is developing interactive advertising technology. Forwarding past commercials is something we previously called a feature. A feature that in my opinion was the reason most people purchased the device in the first place. I think there should be a law protecting the consumer from manufacturers changing products WE ALREADY OWN for their own benefit. Besides “interactive advertising technology” is terrifyingly similar to how spyware distributors describe their useless crappy apps. Read More |
